Sunday's Words for today..

"Give praise and worship to God. Have you ever seen a movie where the victim is stranded on an island and sends up smoke signals
to get help? The Bible describes prayer and worship in the same way: “Accept my prayer as incense offered to you, and my upraised
hands as an evening offering” (Psalm 141:2). Think of how a man smells a good meal cooking and wants to go eat it. That’s a picture
of how God loves our prayers. When you pray and worship God, it creates a smoke—a beautiful aroma—that causes God to be pleased
and come and act on your behalf.

You see, God is just waiting for someone to trust Him and ask Him for things in faith. He wants people to believe. 2 Chronicles 16:9 says,
“The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.” Have you ever
wished someone would just believe in you? Maybe you are trying to do something hard, and people around you don’t think very highly
of you and doubt your ability. It feels horrible! Well, God feels the same way. So many people doubt He can really do much—when He
was the One who created the whole universe and holds it in place!

Send up a smoke signal to Him today. You do this just by quieting your heart, humbling yourself, and lifting up your prayer to God.
One visual way to think of it is having a big stone that represents your problems and rolling it onto God. He won’t be upset for you doing
this; it’ll actually please Him. 1 Peter 5:7 says, “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” Cast your worries onto
Him! Build that prayer altar today and send up your requests. He is sure to see it and come to your rescue. Let us know how we can pray
for you today—many prayers make a big fire!"
